The purpose of this session is to share information from the early childhood literature on the identification and implementation of evidence-based practices for young children within a tiered framework(s). Several important aspects of evidence-based practice will be discussed within this session, including: a) Some of the frameworks currently being used in Early Childhood, including important components of, and possible challenges to, using such frameworks with young children; b) Reliable and valid assessments that could be used within these frameworks and for differing purposes; c) Evidence-based interventions available for use across developmental domains within each tier; and d) Ensuring parental involvement throughout the process.
