Students do not come to school with the same skills or the same difficulties. Appropriately differentiating learning to meet the needs of all students is one of the most complex things with which teachers are tasked. This session will provide an overview of various approaches to lesson design and differentiation to ensure that the needs of all learners are met. Topics will include Universal Design for Learning, the GLEAM hypothesis, appropriately utilizing scaffolds and adaptations, embedding productive struggle, and instruction in a coteaching model.
